What's the best glass to use for Bourbon?

I’m going to start hunting for something to cradle my 23yr Pappy in during the upcoming months - any suggestions?

All the whiskey glasses I own are freebies that come with those holiday gift sets.

A lightning quick search shows Riedel DOES make bourbon glasses!

Anyone try them??

On Mad Men, Don Draper drinks his Rye from a roly-poly tumbler.

His is plain but this Waterford Lismore example would be pretty nice.

Riedel O Bordeaux glass. Amazon calls them Cabernet glasses.
Perfection for Pappy 23.

This is also one of the best beer glasses on the planet.

As an extension of what Don said, any tulip-shaped glass will do. I’ve been drinking a lot of beer out of my Riedel Vinum Bdx stems this summer.

I usually drink my Pappy out of my Riedel Vinum single malt glasses, but I bought some nice Spieglau tumblers and I think that’s fine too.

My two rules are: Tulip shape and crystal. The Spieglau tumblers I have, while flat bottomed, are narrower on top instead of wider than the base, somewhat similar to Frank’s picture.

I do just fine with these glasses, nothing too expensive. I think they were called Mikasa Cheers colelction. Something like $30 for 4 glasses. Got some 74 Hirsch in there now.

This is a great idea! Better yet, my wife has always wanted these for wine, and I cannot stand the idea of stemless glasses. Now I have a use for them.
