I have a business associate who enjoys Sauvignon Blanc and likes Cloudy Bay from Marlborough. He asked me what else he might like and coincidentally mentioned that he is not a Kim Crawford fan. I do not drink much SB from New Zealand. I had some good Babich, but it was a while ago, probably the 2001 or 2002. I haven’t had any for at least four years. Any suggestions on other producers he might like to try?

I believe Dog Point is owned by the people who started Cloudy Bay…
Greywacke is made by the ex Cloudy Bay winemaker and is excellent. Giesen make a reserve wine that sees a bit of oak and is a good drink.
Mount Nelson is a very good value.
Spy Valley is also nice on the cheap.
+1 on Dog Point, Saint Clair and Craggy Range.
I second:
