What wine are you opening this Mother’s Day?

As the title asks, what are you opening for the mother(s) in your life?

In my case, that’s me. I’m going all red because that’s what I want. Two Pinots with friends and my own mother before dinner, a 2007 Appassionata and a 2016 Ayoub. With our steak dinner, 2016 Marchesi di Barolo. 1970s Madeira with cheese after.

Last night…

Today, she requested a Billecart-Salmon Rosé for brunch. And I’ll bring a Bedrock zin for my mom, she loves those.

Nothing planned beyond that but I’m sure we’ll get into something.

something light , dry and white, Jessica doesn’t drink red.(neither of our daughters do as well)ether.She also likes Prosecco…tho we have to cut her off after one glass…so, probably an Inama Soave followed by Mionetto brut Prosecco…

I’m grilling steaks and Italian wines are my wife’s favorites, so I’m about to pull a 2007 Colpetrone Montefalco Sagrantino.

2010 Huet Le Mont Sec. She liked the 2019 I opened a couple weeks ago more. Boo.
