I had a couple recently but I think they were OMG wines and not quite OMFG. Still nice though.
And excellent $35 Barolo
2004 Podere Ruggeri Corsini Barolo, San Pietro Vineyard
And my first GC Burgundy, which will lead to a much lighter wallet this summer as I try other GCs.
1949 Chateau de la Tour Clos de Vougeot
Oh my!
I think there is a big distinction between OMG and OMFG! But I do like that Potel too.
'00 Lafleur was OMG for example.
I’ve had many recently, but I’d have to go with the 1996 Grange. Not only is it out of my normal wheelhouse, it’s definitely an OMFG wine.
Thanks again, BL.

Any time Denny. I agree it was badazz.
My last OMFG wine would have to be the '89 Diamond Creek we had a couple weeks back. Only because it completely outperformed my expectations for the wine.
The 02 Merus a few years ago. A more recent bottle was excellent, but not to the same level as the one I had back then.
93 Drouhin Musigny. Beyond words.
87 montelena from saturday, before that, a 95 haut brion
86 Mouton, last July.
It is my WOTY so far for 2009, the 2004 Clos Erasmus. Stunning.
Scott, how long was your decant? I’ve got a bunch of these but think they’re to young to open.
My last OMFG wines were the same night.

Just a couple of weeks ago… 2006 Vina Sastre Pesus.
1959 Louis Jadot Clos des Ursules from a 3L that came from jadot cellar. An unbelievable and still very youthful burg, blind one would never guess the age, it was still deep red and as clear as any.
1923 Massandra Madeira (dry)
1929 Massandra Tokay
1914 Massandra Malaga
1997 Kiedricher Grafenberg Auslese Goldkap (auction), Robert Weil
There were other wines, but those 4 were mind-blowing.
All at the Restaurant at Meadowood on 5/30. It was a Hell of a way to spend my 55th birthday (which was the day before).
05 Abeja “Reserve” Cabernet
05 Owen Roe “DuBrul” Cabernet
When factoring in price and “wow” factor, both of those are nearly off the charts.
John,
What did you found so profound about 2003? I did like the 2003 Jadot version and did bought a lot of it just didn’t think it was anywhere near ready to drink.
2001 Rousseau CSJ.
