Sadly, I don’t know of a poor man’s substitute for Bourgogne.

And 2015/2016 Northern Rhone is starting to get into bazillionaire territory.

2015/2016/2017 dry trocken Riesling from Austria & Germany
Also look at those same vintages in Alsace [if you can find a fully dry Alsatian Riesling].

2016 Southern Rhone will be ready before 2015 Southern Rhone… opulence.

Lacking Bazillionaire status (barely a millionaire), I find Lanessan financially accessible and should be perfect in 2030. For under $100 look for top Pessac-Leognan whites to wet (or is that ‘whet’) you whistle in 2030.

The poor man’s substitute for Bourgogne is Bourgogne, and the good ones from 2015, 2016 and 2017 will be terrific in 2030. This applies to both reds and whites.

Had the DePonte Melon yesterday. That might hang on til 2030.

I understand 2028 Cru Beaujolais will be really good, but by then with climate change the wine will be made from Grenache rather than Gamay.

But seriously - I heard 2018 champagne will be amazing and by the time it is out, it will be almost 2030!
