What Patricia Green Cellars are you drinking?

Negative, Ghost Rider, the pattern is full…

But I think that Stotter bought some futures last year. If I remember correctly, PGC was bottling some 2023s during my visit last August/September. Mr. Anderson brought up a bottle for tasting. I don’t have any photos, but it was great. Perhaps an Estate or Freedom Hill bottling…

Yep. Got the Hyland Coury Clone, Lillie’s, and Freedom Hill Wadensvil Clone. Only tried the Lillie’s so far (was a few months ago and probably a little too early after just being bottled). Might wait until the summer to check on the other two.

Of those 4 I would choose the Weber. If you can wait until Friday, I’m tasting through all the wines on Thursday. This is an Herculean task (39 wines). But I could tell you what’s showing.

Wonderful!! I definitely can wait. :grinning:

As always, thanks, Jim!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :wine_glass:

Mr. Anderson always delivers in the clutch.

Terry, you are a saint and I appreciate your enthusiasm for PGC wines. I would refrain from the 2023s, but that’s just me.

What are you doing later this summer? Perhaps the week before Labor Day. Let’s go out and taste all of the 2023s at PGC…

39? Well maybe not all of the 2023s, but I’m sure that it will be a great time…

39… Really actually difficult to imagine, but getting remarkably close to the mystical ideal number of 42.

This. I have never regretted holding a PG and drinking it later.

Yeah Terry. 2033. But 2043 would be better and don’t give me any of that “I’m an old guy” excuse!

Yeah, I get it. Trust me - just about every time I posted about opening one of those 2021s within minutes I had law enforcement showing up at my front door telling me James, or Chris or some other PGCs fan had reported that a crime had taken place in my home. :grinning:

So then Brian and some of you tell me about Satan’s playground, aka, that online auction house that regularly has available older PGC Pinot Noir with 15 or more years in the bottle and . . . well . . . I’m a hell of a lot poorer (in the bank account) but so much richer in the older PGC pleasure account.

That said, there is something about those 2021 PGC wines - and especially wines like that Wind Ridge - that keeps me pulling those corks and just contemplating how damn good they smell and taste. Almost across the entire lineup (or at least the many different bottlings I’ve been lucky enough to get my hands on). Nevertheless, I’ve got enough of them that I suspect I’ll be able to keep some to age (although I may not be around to enjoy them ten or more years from now - but my kid will put them to good use :grinning: :wine_glass: )

So, those cops likely will keep showing up, I’ll keep telling them (with a big grin) “it’s true, officer, I killed another one this evening, but it ain;t no crime, trust me!” So there! :grinning: :wine_glass:

2023 was my 30th vintage. It is the greatest vintage I have ever seen ahead od 2016 (barely), 2005, 2012, 1999, 1998, 2021, etc. I’m looking forward to tasting through them. Some I have not tasted since bottling. Most actually.

For pinot and chard?

I don’t make enough Chardonnay to be able to answer that.

Anyone have any recent thoughts on the 2012 Freedom Hill Pommard clone or the 2013 FH Dijon 115?

We enjoyed the 2013 FH Dijon 115 back on February 8th (post 1001). :wine_glass:

Just had the 2012 Coury Clone on Thursday. Still super young. The Pommard will be so as well.

How many years would you wait to try the 2012 Coury???

Inventory and patience. And want you like. It’s easily something that will be taking names in its 20s.

Enjoyed this 2011 Olenik Wadensvil last evening. Decanted, with decanter/wine put back in cellar for just over three hours, poured back into the bottle and then enjoyed the wine as it continued evolving over the next five hours. Really very nice, intensely perfumed nose all evening, and on the palate the wine grew in depth and complexity throughout the evening. Am sorta kicking myself that I didn’t have friends over to try this bottle (my only one - may need to remedy that) along with the 2021 Corrine Wadensvil, as contrasting the ten-years differences would have been fun. :grinning:
