Chambers emailer today had about 5-6 cases each of the Gonon St Joe and the Iles Feray. I was able to snag some additional Iles Feray - great for early or later drinking - but dang these all sold out within 5-10 minutes!
I got the Gonon’s first anticipating they would sell out, then went back for the Roussets. I’m glad I did - all the Gonon’s were gone by the time I clicked back through and selected the Roussets I wanted (don’t have much experience with them so wanted to spend 5 mins researching a little).
Speaking of:
Rousset 2022 Crozes-Hermitage Marsanne Vieilles Vignes × 1
Rousset, Stephane 2022 Crozes-Hermitage Blanc × 1
Rousset 2022 Crozes-Hermitage Rouge × 2
Rousset 2022 Saint-Joseph Rouge × 2
Rousset 2022 Crozes-Hermitage “les Picaudiéres” × 2
Gonon 2022 VdP Ardeche “Les Iles Feray” × 3
Gonon 2022 Saint-Joseph Rouge - 3 bottle limit × 3
Ironically, I decided just last week to stop buying release Gonon as the pre-arrival prices in NY are now $80+ for Iles and higher for the SJ.
I have not tried the 2022 Roussets but this winery generally delivers very high-quality for the price. Your strategy was excellent, I knew these would clear off the shelves immediately. Kudos to Chambers for pricing them so fairly.

Garagiste held a huge warehouse ‘Circus Sale’ today which was a blast. I was one of the first people in and there was a rare table with a number of goodies that I visited first. Many of the people there - myself included - had preordered a mystery case, of which some of them you may have had a chance of finding a 1996 Margaux. While I missed out on the bottle of Raveneau apparently hidden amongst the other bottles at the sale, I did manage to find their 1 bottle of Cedric Bouchard which was really exciting, plus some other items I’ve been wanting to try. First up, my finds from the Rare table + bottles from the general bins:
Below is what was in my mystery case! Not bad for ~$20 a bottle. An interesting mix with wines that should be ready to go now!
We were at the winery last weekend and picked up some '21 Zin and '19 Rossi Cab. Such a nice place to taste (and actually REASONABLE tasting fees…$40 and comes with a cheese plate)
Nice, nice and good to hear.
I’d been so disciplined these past few months, passing up wine listings that sorely tempted me. Then came the Kobayashi offer…
3b 2022 Cascina Penna-Currado Langhe Nebbiolo Bricco Lago
early tasting notes on the FB Barolo/Barbaresco group are promising
Just picked up a 2002 Magdelaine. Flat Iron wines in NY has a few.
Never tried one before, so thought I’d give it a whirl.
