Oregon release here in the UK a couple weeks back, so I loaded up. 11.5 cases split across 21/22 Pinot and Chard from the following:
- Cameron (with some Nebbiolo too)
- McKinlay
- Brickhouse
- Patricia Green
- Morgen Long
- Kelley Fox (this is her first year distributing in the UK!)
This made me realize that I’d ignored Belle Pente the last few vintages. It just happened that they’re running a nice special right now that includes library releases of Pinot going back to 2008, so I loaded up on 4 cases there. A mix of Belle Pente Vineyard, Estate Reserve, and Murto from 2019, 2018, 2013, 2012, and 2008. Which worked out really weill, since I still have plenty of 2014-2017. They and Goodfellow are the only two producers I still buy in the US.

No retirement here (not yet, unfortunately!), but last purchase was first week of May just to round out a case. Longest drought for me in 20 years. Feels good. I’m thinking about wine a lot less without the chase. It will return one day, I’m sure.

After reading William Kelley’s somewhat recent review of it, I picked up a couple bottles of 2011 VCC so the single bottle of 2012 VCC I had already doesn’t get lonely. Also took a flyer on a bottle of 1995 Gloria, which I think will be my first ever bottle of 1995 Bordeaux.
