Tasted it last year. I would say start tasting them in 2026. My guess would be that they drink best between 10-15 years of age, at least based on my palate.
2x La Porte Saint Jean, Comiers, 2019.
3x Domaine des Marnes Blanches, En Quatre Vis, 2019.
1x Tissot, Patchwork, 2020.
4x Francois Dumas, Saint-Joseph, 2019.
Also ordered 14 bottles of La CaāNƶvas 2019 top cuvees. But i have not heard back from the importer even though my purchase was verifiedā¦
Michael, i have read about this winemaker. Are these 2019 reds likely to have an early drinking window of a couple/few years and then do a Rip Van Winkle for a while? Thanks.
Is the 2020 Gonon Stateside, or is this a European Purchase? Gonon is always one of my favorite wines to drink and contrary to many believers, nothing compares. Even though the price keeps rising, I find myself buying more. Sad to here about 2021ā¹ļø
It was a pre-arrival purchase but it is my understanding that it is or will be shortly here Stateside. Not sure what retailers will actually carry it, but Crush always seems to have some.
Yeah, me too. Itās so refreshing to pay $50-75/btl for well-farmed, well-made, small-production Burgundy made from old vines. Iāve been drinking through some D-J '16s and '18s recently and all have brought great joy.
I just grabbed the reds; I will probably drink more whites as we go into the summer but I just donāt drink that mix white wine; Iāve recently passed on some very nice offerings (guffens-heynen, etc) because I just donāt drink enough whites. Iāve heard the VDJ whites are very good though.
