2020 J. Foillard Morgan Cote du Py. My first Beaujolais (besides the nouvelle kind). Time to see what the fuss is. I’m not sure I’m a fan of carbonic maceration, but maybe this will convince me otherwise.
First post on WB (have been lurking for a couple of years almost…) - why not start in the thread that I am looking at the most =)

This past weekend I received an invite to a 50th B-day party happening in January 2023. Guests are requested to bring great bottles from the 70’s. I don’t have a lot of 70’s in my cellar except for California, so I was hoping to find some DP, especially '73. Winebid had a '73 in this past week’s auction but the fill was not great, so I did not bid. I had to stop by a wine shop yesterday for a pick up and while I was snooping around the wine room I saw a 3-pack OWC of DP '64/'73/'80. I asked to see the bottles and the fills levels were pretty good. '64 is one of the best bottles of Champagne I have ever had and it also has sentimental value so I thought that was a bonus. I don’t recall having the '80 before and I am not sure what to expect. The white paper label on the OWC has what appears to be a date of 09/06/01 and it does have P2 on it. There is a tasting note on CT for a '80 Oeno with a disgorgement date of '99 so maybe this is a P2? The OWC lid does say Recently Disgorged. The bottle label however appears to be a standard green shield label. There is a pamphlet inside describing each bottle but no mention of disgorgement. Hopefully they all drink well.
A long bottle of 1963 Sebastiani Bin 9 Cab…don’t have a lot of reference on this, but trying to pull a few bottles together for a relatives 60th next year, and not a lot of non-port options available for purchase, so bit after seeing photos of the bottle
A few 2021 Vollenweider. I shouldn’t be buying any more wine - especially german - but it’s his last vintage and I have been cellaring his wines since the 2001 vintage (drank the 02 Goldgrube “Reiler” spatlese last night - outstanding and it paired quitemwell with the yellow gazpacho I served alongside).
