Obviously, Craig is more finicky than the more chill Greg.

Bruce Leiser_owitz:For many years, Ridge Geyserville was one of my “Greg” wines. At $35+, perhaps it’s no longer a Greg but one of Greg’s slightly tonier cousins.

is there a price point where this happens? Chianti Classico is probably my Greg wine, and Felsina Rancia is my Gregory
I love this concept by the way. I would have so much time applying this to other names.
My “Gina” wines are Carlisle Zins and Anthill Farm Pinots for the reds. This year my “Gina” whites are Tablas Creek Vermentino, McKinley Springs Chenin Blanc (around $12), and Chateau de Breze Samaur Blanc (around $20).
At work I reach for Scarpa La Bogliona Barbara d’Alba (we pour 2008 in magnums or 2009 in regular these days) when I need Greg. Haven’t failed me yet.
