What did you consume most this year?

I was thinking label drinker…

We’re both right, Paul’s bi, he goes both ways.

4 cases or so of Ardbeg

The scotch?

Jeezus.

Ardbeg. Truly uisge beatha, water of life. Of the current range, particularly Airigh Nam Beist. Distilled in 1990 and bottled between 2006 and 2008 (even though the age statement on all bottles is 16 years old). 46% abv. Unchillfiltered. Call Brett Pontini at Binny’s and he’ll set you up.

Bisson Prosecco
German Riesling

Then everything else [plenty of Puzelat Pinot Meunier, some Puffeney Poulsard, bits and pieces of other stuff].

But mostly Prosecco and Riesling.

Fair enough mark

I’ll pick some up

Tip o the cap to your liver(s)

Okay. Got the scotch. Peaty S.O.B.

But, so far, so good.

Flannery…nobody said consumed what.

Well, as this is in wine talk and not EE…

Pedantic bastardo…

To answer the question at hand, I would say Napa Cab leads the pack as far as region and varietal.

The holy trinity of spicy food fiends everywhere: Champagne, Belgian Ale, Prosecco (and a little Lambrusco on the side!)

Followed by small lots of a HUGE array of stuff, mostly Italian, Spanish and Português and mostly red.

By Region:
California (by a BIG margin)
South Australia
Tuscany
Rhone

By Varietal:
Syrah
Cabernet
Zinfandel
Shiraz
Petite Sirah

Cliff

Domestic:
Pinot
Bordeaux Blends
Zinfandel
Petite Sirah
Cabernet
Sirah
Sauvignon Blanc
Chardonnay

Some misc imports but not lots this year.

“4 cases or so of Ardbeg…”

A bottle a week of serious single malt?

Day-amn! I salute you…

Merely one drink a day, purely for medicinal purposes…

One ‘drink’ is what, 5 fingers?

107ml, just over two airplane sized bottles.

Checked Cellartracker - Champagne has been in #1 for 5 of the 6 years. I love it, but I’m surprised.

Champagne
Burgundy
California

A change from last year - where it was Champagne, Rhone, Germany

Who’d a thunk.

Impressive Adam.
