What de Négoce wine are you drinking tonight?

I have tried a few each of 230 and 240, and I think my preference is actually 230. Enjoy. and boy do I miss dN Washington wines at $10-15.

Same here…I have enjoyed #240, but I like #230 a little bit better…both are great QPR’s!

That’s great for you. I have a lot of wine too but not enough to last the almost 30 years my life expectancy calculators say i may live.

Randy has too much. You have too little. Work something out.

I enjoyed this wine so little, I’m trading 6 bottles of this CdO, for 4 bottles of California Merlot. Many Thanks to Tim Ballard!
Too thin for my tastes, right up Tim’s alley.
Cheers :beers:

OG N.141 2018 Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon

Almost 3 years in the bottle, PnP. Bottle 11/20.
This is ready to go now. It’s very smooth and could use a bit more acid, for my tastes.
Nice appetizer/cocktail wine with an excellent QPR @$13!

@Cameron_Hughes, do us a BIG favor and start to post reviews here as your drink through your dN wine stash, just like the rest of us. Would be epic… :wine_glass:

Better yet, post here AND on CellarTracker, where there’s 5000 notes on de Negoce to compare.
Sorry for the CT sales pitch, but I often wish many of the notes here were also in the CT database. Especially, Scotty B

61 Dry Creek Zin. I had to look at denegociants.com after opening this one. Described as a “pinot lovers” zin. I think thats a good description. Light garnet, quite aromatic. I would say berries with maybe a bit of over ripe cherry. I don’t drink a lot of pinot, so I can’t really compare. Quite dry, not getting a lot of oak but some tannis. Has an exceptionally long finish with fruit followed by an odd bit of bitter. I like it, but not exactly what I expected.

2018 de Négoce OG N.160 Red Blend - USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (10/17/2024)
A year and a half since my first one and any change is negligible. Clunky and lacking any real harmony for the first 4+ hours open (did not use a decanter). When it did settle in, it was still not very compelling. It has a little confected/candied aspect that cheapens the experience for me, throwing aside the fact that it was about $8  It still comes through with a good amount of acidity and tannic grip to hold it together and lend a bit of interest. Fine for no special occasion or in a Solo cup for a tailgate party.

I have a couple of lot 160 and based on your review will wait to open. Apparently, Washington reds can take a very long time to mature (12-13 years). Of course, with a lower end wine like 160, there may not really be any improvement, it will just taste older.

His & Hers:

A couple of very nice nights in nearby Morro Bay.

We also brought #374 (Prosecco) & #486 (Lobster?), but we didn’t get to them. Yet.
We are going back again soon and will try again.
Both 176🍷 & 309🍷 are now ready to enjoy.
The Tisdale is always better served over LOTSA ice :ice_cube: :ice_cube: :ice_cube:

Enjoying N.20 tonight. Wow, what a wonderful wine. Big wine that can be drank with a 4hr decant, but has many years to go… Only had with chesse and crackers. Needs a nice big juicy steak. I have several “potential”
very good dN wines, but this certainly is a very special wine.

Lot 257 2020 Brut Rose. No secret about who made this one, Fantinel. It’s our anniversary, and I kind of forgot. Decided to see if I could make amends with this, and so far so good. We don’t drink sparkling wine often, although I generally enjoy it. My wife is more picky. Her comment was “I like it. No faults.” She likes wine with a bit of percieved sweetness, and this fits the bill. The first cold spell did a number on my sinuses, but I’m picking up a bit of peach or pear or maybe strawberries. Very pale salmon pink, fine bubbles. Light fruits on the palate, more strawberries here. Very dry, but the fruit makes it seem to have a touch of sweetness. Every time I drink sparkling wine I think I should do it more often, then go back to my still red. Really like this one.

504 Napa/sonoma 2022 cab blend/. Confirmed RC cork. It’s for sure a steak house wine. In the sweet/jammy side of the spectrum. Reminds me of a Caymus style wine or a less jammy version of 274. (274 on one of its good days) it’s pleasant to drink but nowhere near my top 20 dN cabs. Jammy fruit and vanilla is what I get. I have family that enjoys this style of wine so it will come out with hardy festive meals and will serve its purpose there.

Lot 253 Cabernet Sauvignon

2019, 88% Coombsville with <3 years in the bottle, one+ hour in the decanter.
This 2019 is coming along. Very Delightful! Great deep palate, framed with the sweet Oak barrels!
Drink now with a moderate decant, this should age well too for a few more years. :wine_glass: :wine_glass:
Aromatic cedar and spruce finished brilliantly. Booyah & Boom!
100% Cabernet Sauvignon 88% Coombsville, 12% Mount Veeder 70% new French oak 14.9% alc.

Beautiful setting there - I’ve really been enjoying 309, very nice acidity and minerality, balanced black fruit. I wasn’t wild about the pyrizines in first bottle I opened on delivery but they’ve receded. Down to my last bottle, wish I had more.

Sad to hear. I have 6 bottles tucked away somewhere so I hope they improve with a few years. I’m curious what made you pour it out? Did you taste it over a few day period and then finally give up on it after five days of no improvement? (I had the experience with lot 50, especially early on…and it’s still not my favorite wine but certainly is better than it was 4 yrs ago when I tried my first , especially on day 3+ decant in the bottle)

Meanwhile, I’ve  n.50 since early 2023, when I first bought it.

Hoping that lot 497 and 500 will come around. I’ll probably wait on 496 and 499 as well.
