I’ve observed the blatant misogyny. But this is a new low.

Definitely an inappropriate comment.
Jamie’s previous comments about the wines have fit nicely into these discussions.
Did I miss something?
Can we continue a civil and respectful dialogue about these wines?

Possibly the misogyny?

Certainly. Perhaps without the women-demeaning language?

Apparently.

Always a great idea.

I guess you missed the meltdowns and personal insults and attacks he has done here before.

Enough.

Back to our normally scheduled what CamX are you drinking - I’m debating PnP a lot 23 tonight, anyone have any recent experience with that one? Might grab something else but if 23 is drinking nice now I might just give that a try.

Really good already for me, short decant. Lovely.

Some truth to that. This $11 bottle of wine was so good, I have to charge $13!

Kinda like how I get excited about the more expensive offerings. Cam’s charging $25, must be awesome!

Whereas, I’m going to spend $20 to ship $11 bottles of wine? What am I doing?

We’re all idiots of course, but I guess it’s the human condition.

Wrong thread Charlie - but yah exactly.

It’s a self referential joke about being an idiot :grinning:

Hey Charlie,
I believe, I’m a bigger idiot. Now, 66 cases of X (only ~2 years supply), before the shipping charge increase……so far? :kissing_heart:

Scott,
You saved $1254 in relocation fees with those savvy purchases. Who knew prices would increase?

Cheers, Tim

Seems this could be Stagecoach Vineyard M5 Krupp Brothers…

Lot 21

On opening, nice floral nose, some red fruits, and pyrazines. Palate was initially quite closed and tannic. After a couple hours decanting tannins subsided and could perceive quite a pronounced violet and minty taste, backed with ripe dark fruit and less ripe red fruit.

Overall quite happy with the bottle, would say it straddles the middle between more austere and greener Loire and overripe / jammy Argentinian expressions of the varietal.

Last weekend, I finally busted open a few bottles that I’d been storing since October

Lot 12 This one started out really badly disjointed and confused. Was giving weird flavors like Brie cheese. After 3-4 hours the cheesiness fell out and I got a good dark fruit-dominant palate with healthy amounts of vanilla / dark chocolate and hints of tart red cherry. Firm, grippy tannins and high alcohol masked the finish a bit, but still picked up a lingering black plum and chocolate aftertaste. Others have pointed out this wine’s current disjointedness and inconsistent structure and I agree. I give it about 89-90 points right now but hopefully could improve with time and patience.

Lot 24 Clear, deep ruby with a slightly purple tone in the glass. Thick, sticky stained tears. Very youthful wine that gives off an intensely vibrant nose of black cherry, cherry syrup and caramel

Palate has big black cherry and caramel, followed by a rush of firm, grippy tannins. Faint red fruit hints. Dark chocolate, acidic finish

Needs more time before it’s ready to enjoy because the tannins did overwhelm the mid-palate and finish a bit. But I really enjoyed what it has going on now. If you open now and give it a 2-3 hour decant it’ll show some great fruit characteristics. But like others have said, this needs more time to really develop better balance. 93 points as of right now

Lot 27 This is a heckuva wine that shows great potential, and I’m very excited by what this can evolve into. Deep, clear ruby color with thick, heavily stained tears. Intensely youthful nose that evokes black cherry, dark chocolate, cedar, and some raspberry

Palate is just as powerful as the nose — big flavors of dark chocolate, blackberry and black cherry and teensy bits of raspberry and mint rush through mixed in with strong, velvety, lingering tannins. Cedar and a gushy acid rush come in mid palate. Long black fruit, mint and dark chocolate-dominant finish. Big bodied and unabashed right now but shows a small degree of elegance potential that I think will really shine in the future. Definitely something that I will check back in on in a few years. 93 points now, with more upside than the others I tasted

Overall, all three wines showing quite good potential but each need more time to find better balance and complexity. Very happy with all three wines. I’d say 27 and 24 are a close #1 and #2 in my power rankings, followed by 12. Still have Lots 7 and 25 to try
