I’ll be staying in the Chelsea area tonight and my gf gets in four hours after me. Figured it’d be a great time to explore for some wine and champagne for the room for the long weekend. I’m getting engaged Friday, so would like something superb to celebrate.

Flatiron is great. An alternative is Manhattan Wine Company’s retail shop. The shop is in the process of moving so call ahead to make sure they are open, and at which address.

If you want to splurge, have Zachys deliver to your hotel.
E train to Lexington and 53rd - short walk to Crush Wine and Spirits. A highly intelligent selection of daily drinkers from around the world with a generous dose of luxury in the wine cellar.
