What are you drinking with Halloween candy?

I started with a glass of Turley Zin to take the edge off. Been sampling Bourbon, and nw Rum which is actually better with the candy!

I lack a sweet tooth, so cannot offer a full opinion, but I can mix a chocolate or caramel-ish type sweet with some cognac and ‘get it.’.

Idiosyncratic, I admit.

Happy all hallows eve to my friends here!

So is this candy that you bought for the trick or treat visitors, or your own personal stash?!

No candy for me but my wife and I are enjoying a 2019 Caterwaul Cemetery Vineyard. Figured it would be an appropriate wine for the occasion.

It all goes back years ago when I discovered that Elmer T. Lee and Butterfinger was a god pairing.

I’m enjoying the 2018 version tonight. Seemed like the right bottle to pull.

I find myself skipping candy more and more. Obviously age, but also something else:

I tried a Worther’s with a Remy Marten 1793! It worked!

I am a lesser man, though, I put ice in the glass.

I don’t eat Halloween candy. After dinner and the 2015 Peay Estate Chard, I made apple crumble with Straus vanilla ice cream. Van Winkle Lot B with dessert.
