What are you drinking for Christmas?

I was hoping for a shipment of the Clos de la Maréchale JF Mugnier Nuits St Georges 2007 tonight to match the turkey, stuffing and yams. It was supposed to arrive before the snowstorm this past Saturday, and should have arrived tonight; hopefully tomorrow and without cold damage…
This wine is simply a floral bouquet infused charmer, with lots of sap and depth on the palate - I loved it when tasted in Beaune just before the Hospices last month. So I ordered two.
If cold damaged, I may just crack open a village wine, Nicolas Potel Chambolle Musigny 2005 or Antonin Guyon Chambolle Musigny 2005. My sister and brother in law and their kids are neither enophiles nor drinkers … but there is just something about Pinot Noir and turkey that has me enthralled.
What are you planning to drink?

I’m bring the Mag of Match vineyards CS. I won right here on WB!
Thanks Randy (have fun in Vietnam!)

As much as humanly possible from a diversified portfolio.

The blood of Christ, what else?

That’s more of an Easter drink isn’t it?

I usually bring a nice chard (Kistler/Aubert/Peay) and a nice Pinot (Kosta Browne/A.P. Vin)
to my wife’s cousin’s house. She, more than anyone else in the family, appreciates a nice bottle of wine.

Haven’t thought about Christmas yet, but Christmas Eve we have dinner with my folks at a local Italian BYOB, so I’ll be lining up some vino for that - I was giving some thought to pulling a cork on the '99 Altero, but that might still be a tad too young.

Coke with vanilla vodka.

Will be at the MIL’s crib and she is not a fan of ETOH, so I gotsta be sneaky sneaky.

I’m the wine guy to bring to sister in law’s house. Some wine drinkers, mostly not, some with specific wants…

So, required to bring:

A Riesling to be determined (none in my cellar);
A bottle of Asti Pumante (also, none in my cellar; and
A big Cali Chard (likely Newton Unfiltered).

And, my choice for the red wine drinkers:

2007 Siduri Rosella’s
2006 Sea Smoke Southing
2006 Kosta Browne RRV

And, for dessert:

My guilty pleasure 2006 Clio

Our Christmas meal is breakfast…so probably nothing, unless I break out some Champs

Unless?!?

Panos,

I guess you don’t believe in travel shock!

Also, are 05 village wines open? I haven’t opened any, thinking they must be shut down now…

So, if breakfast has eggs and potatoes and bacon or ham, it’s a meal. Open a Burgundy. You’ll be glad you did.

Throw some salsa on it, and crack open a mexican wine!

Hell, I don’t even know what I’m going to drink tonight. [suicide.gif]

Even better!!

Well, at least I know where to get one - from Dietz!

For the adventure? Champers is the safe bet.

Shhh, Cris! Think of how fun it would be to take advice on wine from Dietz!

I am bringing my son to a neighbor within my gated community so DUI with kid in car and therefore a felony is not in play. [thankyou.gif]
