what are you doing this weekend?

When did you go to school there? I worked there from 89 - 91.

Oh yeah, back to the thread…

Tonight: Friend’s BDay at Merc Bar

Sat: 2 soccer games and watching the Cats take the first giant leap towards their 1st Rose Bowl ever!

Go wrong? Other than having to go watch IU and Purdue play football? neener

Fall here is that slow time when we put up with football before the real sport starts.

So to stay on topic…watching the Heels punk 'Cuse (if they play like they did for the first 35 minutes last night)…or get punked (if they play like they did for the last 5 minutes). Oh and opening up something good to drink.

Saturday to a Sokol Blosser tasting and finally spending all day Sunday volunteering at the Carrboro Film Festival before then partying down at the after party with the filmmakers. (Scorcese won’t be there.)

Note that doesn’t say that we’re actually going to WATCH the game! We do have good seats, and there will be a good deal of taunting amongst friends, but at some point we will all realize that both teams suck and will retire to pop some corks.

BIG GAME BABY!

Early Thanksgiving with friends. Right now, this is the wine lineup (still open for debate) furnished by the host:

Whites:
1x 2006 Windy Oaks Chard
1x 2006 Smith Haut Laffite Blanc

Reds:
1x 1.5L 2006 Alesia Green Valley
2x 2006 MacPhail Pratt
1x 1996 Cos d’ Estournel
1x 1995 Pape Clement
1x 1980 Diamond Creek Volcanic Hill
1x 2003 Leonetti Walla Walla

Laying out our bocce ball court that will be a serious project next spring. Also the first weekend since harvest and my two week hunting vacation. Time to get domestic!

I had the 95 Pape Clement last weekend…nice stuff. Also give the Cos lots of air.

… organizing my 7 new arrivals (including my 2 Schraders).
… catching up on my sleep (still jetlagged from China).
… going to my cousins blow-out 50th birthday party at some fancy club (read… loud music) in New York City.
… waiting for Posners midnight e mail.

Dan

After a hectic crush, there’s nothing like goin’ domestic. I love hanging by the woodstove, and spending some tiempo con los ninos. [basic-smile.gif]

I’m predisposed to a ‘Go Cal!’ here – but Stanford has been so good lately, I’d love to see them get a nice tier-2 bowl bid and kick some ass. Go PAC-10!

Thanks Serge
That’s cool(or not depending on the temp)
I have heard of the experement method with a timer to do this, but what a neat product.

FWIW, you can get the same functionality for half the price here:

Posted exclusively on WB.

I’ll be spending a couple of hours at the driving range this morning honing (hopefully) my swing for a skins game on Tuesday. Later I’ll be celebrating my twelve year old grand daughter’s birthday. Champagne for the adults and sparkling cider for the kids. And…go Chargers!

Funny thing is that this is exactly what happened.

Not my first rodeo, sparky.

headbang I wish we didn’t live so far. The girl is growing up. Have a great time!
