I remember sitting in the Dirtbags bathroom for 2 hours while they swept the rest of the bar for underage patrons. Was it worth it? Probably not. But when you are 20 and want to hang out with your friends, you do it.

You can get an analog one for around $55. I use one to turn a chest freezer into a beer fridge and a second one to controll the backup air conditioner for my wine cellar.

I’ve a date with the kids and the couch to watch the Portland Trail Blazers on TV tonight.

Saturday I’m getting firewood. Saturday night is the post-harvest dinner for me and a few other people who are custom crush clients at Grochau Cellars. Bringing a Tempier Bandol and some white burg.

Sunday I’m pouring wine for Grochau Cellars, then heading over to a friend who’s having an open house for his homemade wines as he, like me, transitions to producing commercially.

Sunday night I sleep.

Tonight will include a short stay at a surprise birthday party followed by some single malt scotch. Tommorow I’ll be watching the OSU v. Michigan game before heading down to Rue Dumaine in Dayton for some frog legs with Chave Blanc and reislings (among other food and wine). Sunday I’ll likely recuperate by sleeping through New Moon or another movie with the kids and hopefully get some work done.
