Crisp and spicy white fruit flavors fully evolved and ready to party
Waterbrook 2007 Pinot Gris
Ripe aromas with a hint of bike tire, pure Gris flavors without much complexity
Willm 2006 Pinot Gris
Residual Sugar? Juicy fruit with decent acidity
Cave de Saumur 2008 Saumur Blanc
100% Chenin Blanc; damn tasty, zippy acidity with brilliant fruit and balance
Ken Forrester 2008 Petit Chenin
Minerals in the aromas of apple fruit; juicy fruit and body, delicious
Pine Ridge 2008 Chenin - Viognier
Hints of gooseberry (and ammonia) in the aromas of white peach, luscious in the mouth, party wine
Pink wines:
Muga 2008 Rioja Rosado
Very light color, strawberry aromas, vivid acidity, quite refreshing, yum!
Maipe 2008 Rose of Malbec
quite dark color; pungent cherry aromas and flavors, soft and fairly innocuous
Bastianich 2008 Rosato Fruiliano
Bike tire aromas again (blew off with colder temperature); 100% Refosco, decent, not enough acidity
Domaine Houchart 2008 Rose Cotes de Provence
enticing aromas of light strawberries and watermelon, great acidity, very refreshing and delicious
Raffault 2008 Chinon Rose
strawberry-rhubarb pie before it hits the over, pure cherry and strawberry fruit, delicious, yummy!
Bodegas Nekeas 2008 Rose Vega Sindoa
100% Garnacha; dark color, spicy cherry fruit
Sadly, my planned tasting of 1976 Spatlesen and Auslesen was put off until next week.
