Washington Wine scores?

Saxon, you sound like a hysterical old woman. No, he didn’t.

Really? In this thread he practically admits it.

I don’t have the desire to look through a 1000 post of his but I think most people on this board know better.

Oh, read this.

I searched all over the other board for the list and couldn’t locate it. So I searched this board because I knew Pohlman’s list was discussed. Here is a post that discussed the list on June 17 (sorry, can’t remember whose this was, but the list is below).

Pohlman’s post with the link is below the link. And the link no longer works. This must have been deleted over there.

A Dozen things I’ve learned in 3000 Posts and 5 years

  1. There are some great palates from all over the world on this board and we should defer to them when our egos take over.

  2. This is a community. Civility must prevail. It’s often not what you say but how you say it.

  3. Just because you are ITB does not mean you are right.

  4. Spanish wines get little ink because every time someone posts an opinion, a certain person tells you you are wrong. Stopped buying them.

  5. Mark and Jeff and others do a great job of policing the board. There are rules, if you don’t like them, find another forum.

  6. The strident voices don’t last. Sooner or later they step over the line and POOF they are gone. Good ridance.

  7. Nothing generates a donnybrook like a strongly held position on Pinot whether Burgundy or New World.

  8. Our winemaker friends have some strongly held and deeply entrenched positions. Funny, I like all their wines. It must be me.

  9. Washington wines get too little time. They are the rising stars or are already there.

  10. RMP, when he posts, really adds perspective to the board. He’s the host (with Mark) treat him as you should any host.

  11. A second call for manners. You can disagree, but do so politely.

  12. This is a great place … don’t screw it up.

Brad, of course you are right. Stephen is guilty of being … shall we say … an over-enthusiastic member of the Squires community.

And he is guilty of something else. Hiring out Posner’s death, vodoo hexing him dead or even wishing that he would catch a bad cold or a severe hangnail? No.

Stephen was guilty of the heinous crime of wine board hyperbole.

Posner: “One week later, and this thread still lives on”

Pohlman “And unfortuntely so do you”

Mike, what did he mean?

I should point out that after that exchange, we traded some nasty exchanges that were deleted. Someone else came on (I forget who) and attempted to put the “nail in my coffin.”

So, yes, he did wish me for dead.

He is also guilty of liking a lot of the same wines I like, for whatever that is worth. I just wish he didn’t have to act like such a tool all the time.

Well said, Brad.
