WA Santorini article

Monica Larner now has Greece as well as Italy as part of her responsibility.

She has written her first Greek article about Santorini, and it is one of the very best pieces of wine writing I have ever read. She spent 9 days there. That’s a lot of time for an island covering 35 square miles. She tasted almost every wine made there. Her 4000 word article (not including the wine reviews) dives deep into history, culture, geography, climate, grapes. I’ve been to Santorini several times and found her article superb and (to the best of my limited knowledge) absolutely accurate.
Over the years I have not read her very much. I love some Italian wines, but most of my wine attention has be focused elsewhere. As a lover of Greek wines, I am thrilled to have a WA reviewer this deeply involved.
The only drawback: It’s gonna cost me!

I have a friend with a subscription and was in Santorini last September. Was fascinating how the vines “grow”. Great article .
