Can anyone recommend good books?

I like Terroir: The Role of Geology, Climate, and Culture in the Making of French Wines by James Wilson and Hugh Johnson. It’s a very good study on terroir.
As far as viticulture, do you want something geared more toward the lay person? A lot of the books out there are VERY technical, as they are textbooks.
Poppy’s got a good point - it depends on what you want.
You can subscribe to some of the technical journals and read the science papers. If you read books that are geared to wine consumers, you’ll read a lot of poetic nonsense about the soul of wine, minerals, history, energy of the earth, and whatever. If that’s what you want, just go to Barnes and Noble and browse around until you find an author you like.

Thank you all for the suggestions. Placed my orders to get these books.
More geology based than chemistry.
Berserkers Rock!!!
Suggestions for these technical sources that get past the vague BS about terroir that you mention?
