I am looking for a new wine cellar for my condo. I used to have an older 440 bottle Vinotheque cellar that I loved, but unfortunately it wouldn’t fit through the door in the new place.
I believe that the Vinotheque company that made my old cellar stopped making wine cellars to focus on just making the WhisperKool cooling units. However, I see that Wine Enthusiast has a line of wine cellars branded as Vinotheque (for example, https://www.wineenthusiast.com/vinotheque-xl-single-zone-wine-cellar-with-steady-temp-cooling-stainless-steel-door). Does anyone know anything about these - who they’re made by, any opinions as to their quality and longevity? I didn’t find a whole lot in the forums about them, other than just on lists of cellars people were considering, but not much info.
Just in case anyone else is wondering, I spoke to Dino at Wine Enthusiast today. He let me know that WE bought the Vinotheque trade name for wine cellars, but they are all WE products. He said the Vinotheque and N’FINITY cellars are pretty much equivalent from a quality/manufacturing standpoint.
That being said, if anyone has some experience with the (new) Vinotheque or the N’FINITY units they’d be willing to share, your perspective would be appreciated!
Unfortunately I dont have any experience with those units. I have been researching wine cellars as well and ended up going with Eurocave. Based on everything I could find it seemed worth the extra $. They all hold constant temp and humidity, and I’ve heard great things about longevity as well…sorry I don’t have anything on the other units.
