Wells pretty much tears it up.
Sad to read. Citronelle was one great Restaurant. I never seem to make it to Central but people who I trust opinion on food I trust say its very good if a step below Citronelle. The article reads very similar to the LoS NY debacle.
You know it is weird. I have been to Central and the review kind of give it more credit than it deserves. My meal was good. But not one single great dish and many flaws. I really like Wells as a reviewer, but kind of wonder if he was a little hard on the place because of a turf-war kind of thing.
I’ve enjoyed my meals at Central and everyone I’ve sent there has also liked it. Cuisine is not cutting edge but well prepared with good service. Interesting list but corkage friendly; however not the place for a quiet meal as it does get fairly loud when busy.
That was what I was thinking. Relying on the brand rather than working on replicating the food.
Central at Caesars Palace in LV wasn’t good when I was there last year. Service was TERRIBLE. Food was average. Would and will not return.
Gary and I were there and loved it but ate in the Gallery .Surprised the Bistro would not be as good.
I believe the review was for the Bistro. We loved the Gallery although they do not allow BYO
