Villa Creek spring release

The Villa Creek release is upon us and they are now offering a 15% discount on a case purchase. My membership will cover 6, and want to know if there are any takers to make a case and get the discount. Prefer folks in the area, as I will pick up and save the shipping cost of $23 on the case. Orders are due by Feb. 4 if interested.

Your Spring 2010 VCltd shipment will include: one bottle each of 2006 ONDA (VCltd pre-release), 2007 High Road, 2008 Garnacha (VCltd pre-release), 2008 La Boda, and two bottles of 2008 Willow Creek Cuvée.

I took a couple additional High Roads and four extra Willow Creeks to fill up my case. The free shipping and 15% off the case were the perfect incentive to “fill er up”.

Hm… I didn’t get an email. I didn’t order last Fall, but I did order in the Spring. Could they have dropped me that quickly?

I don’t know about Mike, but I’m on the VC “automatic shipment” mailing list. I get an automatic 6 bottle shipment each release. I also get first dibs, with huge allocations before the “regular” allocations are released. I think I have until Friday or so to make my purchases. I assume the regular offers will go out at that time.

It looks like the club membership is $260. For 6 bottles, that averages $43.33 per bottle. 2 of the bottles are the '08 Willow Creek Cuvee, which is listed at $35 before the 15% discount, and one bottle is the '08 Garnacha, which isn’t listed on the website yet, but the '07 is listed at $35 before the 15% discount. So, those three bottles should be $89.25. Does that mean that the other three bottles, which are limited release, total $170.75? Seems pretty spendy. I thought about joining the club, but at those prices for the limited release bottlings, I think I’ll stick to buying off the list.

One of my favorites. Cris Cherry is a master with primo James Berry and Denner fruit. He is as skilled with Tempranillo as anyone in CA IMO.

It says on the website “15% Discount On Future Purchases of Twelve or More Bottles”. Are you sure that there is a 15% discount on the initial club 6-pack? It doesn’t say that anywhere.

I took the six pack “club offer” and six extra bottles and received the 15% off and free shipping. The 15% off relates to case orders so you have to order six extra bottles to get it on the initial 6 pack.
