The only way to be sure there are enough to cover two bottles is to Zelle earlier. Let me talk to the restaurant first, and get an idea on cost etc.

There will have to be a couple of changes though, as I only have single bottles of 2006 and 2011. If we go to two, I will probably eliminate those two and add magnums of a Taittinger Comtes and VCC 1989.

I am interested in attending this luncheon on June 14 with 2-4 people but may also be able to accomodate another date if the 14th is too large. If there isnt a 2nd date or a 2nd tasting group on the 14th, could i also be palced on a waitlist/cancelation list?

UPDATE

I did talk to Michael at MP Taverna in Irvington. The cost of the lunch including tax tip and corkage brings the total to $495 based on 28 people. I did substitute the magnums of Champagne and VCC to the wine list.

Could you please let me know you are definitely coming, and I will ask for Zelleā€™s for the first 14 on the original post who have confirmed, so we can figure if itā€™s a one bottle or two bottle tasting.

ANOTHER UPDATE

It looks like we have the people for having a two person tasting, so I am PMing everyone to Zelle me the $495. I will be asking for the full amount so that it is just one transaction. $120 is refundable up to a week before and I will try and find somebody to take your place if you have to cancel.

The restaurant will be MP TAVERNA, in Irvington NY. It is literally across the train tracks from the station, so easy access from Manhattan, 40 minutes away. I will probably mention this a couple of times, but I strongly recommend people bring their own glasses.
