Trying to decide between these four. Haven’t tried any before, but all have been on my list. We are staying at Wynn, so Sinatra and Cirpriani on property, which is nice, but not necessity. Assuming securing a reservation is not an issue, how would you proceed?
We just went to Scarpetta in March and really enjoyed it. The food was excellent (we stuck to seafood appetizers and pasta) and there were some reasonable Italian whites on the list. Get the duck and foie gras ravioli…you won’t be disappointed.
I’ve been to Cipriani once and Carbone multiple times. I thought Cipriani was pretty good but not worth the price. I don’t think I’d go back. We like the vibe and food at Carbone but it’s also getting pretty pricey for what they deliver. Wine list is very good and I’ve managed to find some good buys in the past.
The last 2 trips though we’ve gone to Amalfi Bobby Flay’s place in Cesaers Palace. We’ve really enjoyed it and would definitly return. I’ve had multiple dishes and all really well done. Good wine list as well.
One other suggestion is Esther’s Kitchen. I found it via this board and would recommend for more of a casual dinner. It’s a short ride off the strip. Reminds me a bit of Cali Italian but would happily return. They also allowed corkage but this was a few years ago.
