UPS / Zachy's - 'Package Damaged'. How Concerned Should I Be?

Same here. Unfortunately it seems that motivation to salvage is very low. Probably easier just to toss it. Too much paperwork otherwise. I’m guessing the times where they actually attempt to repack is 25%. If there was any accountability, they would have photos of the damaged contents, but alas.

They’re probably worried about people getting cut from broken glass. Plus no time to waste not moving packages.

It really does suck. Ive mosty mentally moved on…but then once in a while I’ll think about it and get sad/angry, ha!

I paid for insurance through Zachys so ill get all my money back…but obviously I’d MUCH rather have the wine :frowning:

Thanks pal - i really appreciate that! I did everything i possibly could and talked to a TON of people at UPS until i finally connected to someone helpful…but definitely not the outcome i was hoping for :frowning:

Thank you!

Yep, agreed! Way easier to say ‘they’re all broken’ and toss the whole box. No skin off their backs.

Got the box from Corti today. Turns out there was no damage to the wine whatsoever - UPS deemed it ‘damaged’ because one corner of the box got dented in.

Nice! That’s amazing news!!

Sure wish my story would have ended the same way, ha!

Me too buddy! Truly sucks that they take the ‘cover your ass’ approach on these damaged boxes.
