Updated: Chianti Winery Visits

Planning a trip to Montalcino and Chianti next fall. Already have the wineries picked out for Montalcino but can really use help on picking three great winery visits in Chianti.

Need opinions on Antinori, Felsina and Fontodi.

Are there better choices out there and why?

Was there in november enjoyed both felsina and fontodi. I found some of the visits in general very napa in style. As for antinori just went to tasting and dinner at antonori in florence enjoyed them pat lynch turned me on to volpaia which was unique. also costella di ama.

Had two fabulous meals is siena i can look them up if u wish

Search is your friend as there have been several recent threads on this topic. We liked Feslina and Castellare.

Try Viticchio near Greve in Chianti. It’s up a bit of a hill and has some nice views of surrounding areas. The tasting was very well put together and I enjoyed it. This was after a pretty underwhelming tasting at Fontodi…

Was in Chianti and other parts of Tuscany a little while ago, you might want to skim through this thread:

Wow … Otto … thank you so much
