Under the Wire 2026 Release

Didn’t see a thread for this year’s release. Anybody interested/buying? After listening to the podcast, I’m most interested in the Alder Springs Chardonnay and the Solomon Hills Pinot. I’ve only been buying UTW for 1 year, so I don’t have too much experience with any of the single wines. Anyone have any strong recommendations?

I love what they do with Brosseau vineyard fruit.

I am buying a couple. Been very impressed with the Brosseau and Alder Springs. I think the wines offer fantastic QPR.

Thinking about it. I am Paso right now melting down the credit card though.

Exactly. Definitely have blown the wine budget this year. Trying to cut back, but these are very tempting.

Big Alder Springs fan, so I went for those two.

The Alder Springs chardonnay has been my favorite of late, with the Brosseau close behind. The pinots strike me as best with a thoughtful food pairing, and can pair with much more than fish or shellfish, as they have some weight. The new Bien Nacido sounds exciting, and may be more of a rose than other UTW wines in the past. The sparkling zinfandel is a lot of fun, very different but really does have enough acid in past years to hold up. I think Galloni gave the 21 zin a 95. The prices are wild on these too.

I’ve been buying their sparkling wine off and on for years. Very tasty and reasonably priced, especially compared to French imports and the Trump tax.

I will get at least a mixed six-pack. I have popped a good number of bottles the last 6-9 months and have never been disappointed. I also love what they do with Brousseau and feel like Alder Springs is just a natural sparkling site.

Echo what others have said about these wines. The Brousseau and Alder Springs sparklers are always great. I’ve also really enjoyed the Bedrock sparkling Zin. My wine budget is pretty blown until the fall but I grabbed a few bottles from this release anyway.

Alders Spring is my favorite UTW SVD to sip from.
