2005 Arcadian PN Santa Rita Hills-
Nose of bright red fruits, some earthy, dry underbrush, and cedar. Very fruit forward with slightly candied strawberry(jolly ranchers) hints of watermelon, cedar and spice. A drink me now style.
2001 Arcadian PN Pisoni-
Popped and poured, this one is much darker on the nose with a bit of funk that quickly blew off revealing dark fruits, orange peel, and a bit of heat.
Lots of dark cherry showing initially, with ripe strawberry, cedar, big structure and firm tannins. As this opens, it shows brighter, richer flavors of cranberry, red cherry and orange/citrus notes. The long, firm finish and bright acidity shows that this one will age for another 5 to 10 years. Very interesting, and holding up extremely well.
