This afternoon we decided to finish the leftover shrimp from Saturday with the Lucero’s sauce along with the Kelley’s Katch Tennessee River Caviar from a week ago Saturday, with blinis and crême frâiche. It was enjoyable at our patio bar on a cooling, increasing cloudy afternoon. When the sun was behind clouds it was quite comfortable. Both the shrimp and the ‘caviar’ were very good with a 1997 Roderer Vintage Brut - very light gold in color; good bubble stream in our Baccarat Dom Perignon Champagne glasses; nice medium mousse; rich, crisp, & fruity on the palate; with a pleasant fruity, not particularly dry finish. We started picking up just as sprinkles were starting and were all inside when the rain started seriously; great timing.
