I spent 5 years working at Tribeca Grill, and they were five years of incredible wine memories. 1949 Leroy Musigny, 1933 La Tache, and 1928 Lafite are a few of the bottles that come to mind. I learnt so much there, and I gained so many friends in the wine world and a great mentor. My love of CdP would never be realized had it not been for Tribeca Grill.
Tribeca Grill was my first foray into the NYC wine scene back in 2012. Many bottles of Rayas at prices today that would be viewed as insane. Probably some of my best burgundy experiences. What a gift to the wine community.
Sad. Used to have boozy “work” meals there pretty often and savaged the châteauneuf du pape section of the list more than once. Never thought the food was special but always enjoyed myself there.
Here is an article detailing more about the closing…
I also posted this in the restaurant forum, but I thought it would get more eyeballs here…
Never ate there but attended a whole bunch of trade tastings there over the years. Always a nice setup.
i think this sums it up pretty well
I was sad to read that. I have nice memories of dinners there in the 90s and, later, my engagement night dinner. Last time I was there, circa 2014, it didn’t seem to have the old energy. But there are few restaurants in New York, even good ones, that survive as long as it has.

I would really love to know how many Manhattan building owners like DeNiro also own/operate their restaurant inside said building
When I lived in NYC Tribeca Grill was my go-to place to bring visiting wine friends if we were dining out. Like many, I hit the CdP section hard over the years. Good memories.
Only dined there a few times and in recent years. Once with my older daughter. Drank a Marcassin Chard and a 14 Allemand Reynard most recent visits.
Was in NYC last month. Wish I had known then. Sad to not get another chance.
Been told they are putting another joint into the space.
