2013 Liquid Farm Chardonnay Bien Bien
One of the finer California Chardonnays I’ve come across. A crystalline gem, dominated by wet flinty stone. Fairly generously scented and flavored, mostly citrus, white fruit and a sweet floral note. Scant oak spice (just right!), and ample acidic cut. I had one right after release that was a little grumpy and maybe disjointed, but everything has come together now. Really an epiphany, a wine of beauty. Fantastic with Kumamoto Oysters, Caesar salad and Oyster Stew (it’s that time of year!).
