All I remember about this place is drinking a wine (that I brought from NY) that had loads of acid. It was a Carlisle. Funny thing was that I posted a note about this a day after my visit with Mike, and before I got on the list. Good thing Mike didn’t hold it against me. I cleared the list on the next go round.
Sorry to hear that, we enjoyed our meal there a few years ago and it’s a place we’ve recommended to friends visiting the area.
Any locals in the know about if they’re finding a new space, or just sticking with the pizzeria?
We all make mistakes and jump to conclusions based on old data, but I do not believe Chiarello (sp?) has been involved there for some time.
And to Mr. Klein’s observation, dining on the patio there is a great tourist experience. A great local experience, too. I think Mr. Gruner’s assessment of the character of the original chef is mis-placed here.
Agreed on all fronts. I get that Michael C. has allowed himself to become something of a public figure with his television work, but that assessment is really at odds with my personal interactions with him and the opinions of several mutual acquaintances who know him well.
