Yvon clerget
The hudelot and barthod are much higher than I really actually have because I have many cases of the Bourgogne. Rousseau is my top burgundy holding of grand cru/1er.

Nice. I quite like Yvon Clerget - first ran into the wines at the ‘15 or ‘16 La Paulee and bought a few vintages. Especially fine Caillerets. I’ve never bought the Clos Vougeot though. Have you tried much of that one?
I stumbled across a few bottles of the 1999 Caillerets, made by the father (grandfather?) of the current young wine maker. Another excellent exemplar of that vintage.

I’ve had the clos vougeot a few times; it’s nice but I feel the volnay wines are more unique.
Only two data points for me on Clerget, but posted here fwiw: 2019 Carelle sous la Chappelle (tasted 1/22) and 2018 Verseuil (tasted 3/23). Both very tasty. The Verseuil offered more Volnay silk to my taste. The Carelle was still forcefully primary. The 2018 Verseuil seemed about to go into a grumpy phase.
These two data points offered significantly different experiences, although both were firmly Burgundian, and I definitely enjoyed both. YMMV

I think versueil is the best wine clerget makes.
In 2026 I expect Dujac to take the top billing and Hudelot-Noëllat to jump up a place or two.
Now for the wine edition of “bands you’ve never heard of”:
Ribeiro Santo
Caves São João
Luís Pato
Tapada de Coelheiros
Caves Messias
Taboadella
Quinta do Carmo
Barão de Vilar
Quinta de Saes
Hudelot-Noellat is among my biggest French holdings, though I’m not sure I’ll buy again at current pricing. Baudry is up there, too.
Luís Pato
ftw
Thank you, @MChang and @JohnMag for highlighting Yvon Clerget, a producer that I have not previously sampled but wanted to try. Just managed to snap up a case of the 2020 Verseuil for £82/$110, per bottle all in, which seems to be a decent price. Very much looking forward to drinking these, a few years down the line. Thanks again.

That seems a very good price. Cheers!

900+ bottles with 275+ unique producers which was not shocking, but was still a little surprising to see it that high. Have been kicking around hunting less for new stuff and going deeper with what we love so it will be interesting to see if this shifts over the next few years.
Luis Pato makes some great wines but it’s so tricky to find cases of them in U.K./ HK
Good to do this sanity check every now and then.
Sidónio de Sousa and Casa de Saima, which have wines in a similarly structured old school style, seem to have relatively good foreign representation. Should be worth tracking down. I’d say the same for Quinta das Bágeiras but not sure how their exporting is. These are all producers that have flipped in and out of my top ten.
Taking stock for year end, things look different after buying a lot of Burgundy this year:
Fun: I’m happy to see that I put my money where my mouth is.

My list appears to be a bit more Ameican-centric. It is roughly 70% US. The list in order of quantities held (pardon, but here’s 11):
-Carlisle
-Bedrock
-Walter Scott
-Selbach Oster
-Ceritas
-Ridge
-Brittan
-Peay
-Pax
-Produttori del Barbaresco
-Kofererhof
EOY ‘25
Would like to see Soldera, Joseph Drouhin, or Michel Lafarge to break into top 10 list.
