Tomatoes 2012.

Nice, Paul! Funny, Dietzi!

We pulled a large quantity of onions, potatoes, carrots, green beans, and beets yesterday, and some Anaheim & Jalapeno peppers. Tomatoes look to be 2-3 weeks away.

My Tomatos have been coming in for about 10-11 days now. I’m getting about 9 per day off three plants. The Jalapenos are rockin right now and I’m making fresh Salsa for all my neighbors and clients.

I replanted my Dill and Boston Pickling Cucumbers on Sunday. We’ll have hot weather here in SoCal through Halloween so I think I can get one more pickle harvest. I might even go NY style and pickle some tomatos…

I got about 40 full 32oz jars of pickles this year off 4 cucumber mounds. It was a good year. My freinds and neighbors are bugging me for more but I’m holding on to my last 6 jars

If anyone wants a great receipe for spicy garlic dill pickles… I’m your man.

Is this like a dangling Participle… Doh

I love pickles

Saturday harvest. The bottom left is a Brandywine (6-7" diameter; 1.5 lbs/610gr). This was a meal itself with Mozzarella & EVO.

The 4 pinkish colored are Martha Washington. These were also rather large and outstanding. 4 middle are Dafel and top 2 are Valley Girls.

These were my first ones in a bit of a late season (not as late as last year, though). On the left is some form of Brandywine, which is delicious. On the right is Grandpa’s Cock’s Plume (stop snickering), which unfortunately lacks a bit in flavor.
