TNs: Valentine's Pinot and Champagne

  • 2005 Loring Wine Company Pinot Noir Rosella’s Vineyard - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands (2/14/2010)
13.7% alcohol. The color of this wine has lightened significantly in the past year. Black cherry, clear at the rim of the glass, with some subtle hints of bricking beginning. Lovely nose of black cherry, minerals, and flowers. In the mouth, lean and racy, with the focus and life you would expect from Brian’s wines. Juicy fruit and an elegant frame, with good spice and floral notes. The acidity is refined. Smooth finish. A-
  • N.V. Ruinart Champagne Brut Rosé - France, Champagne (2/14/2010)

I’ve yet to try a Loring with some age on it (maybe Brian can raid his cellar a bit during Berserkerfest II!) but I’m a fan of the lower ABV on that wine, and Rosella’s fruit is always a hit - would like to try one.

Loved the Ruinart on Friday too. Best $27 champagne I’ve ever had haha.

Shut up.

Where are you guys getting Ruinart Rose for $27 ?

Those turds in Houston found a small store that was clearing stuff out. Rumour has it they got old label Krug Rose for something like $75 a bottle.

No news there. Houston is always trumping Dallas. [whistle.gif]

Mike, you’re really smart. I knew I always liked you
