Not champagne… but delicious. Great minerality, complexity, and tastiness. Strawberries, cream, and white peach on the nose, very nice palate presence, long finish, nice bead.
2009 Cantenac Brown
At prime. Tobacco, leather, and cassis. Extremely long finish.
2009 Rene Rostaing La Landonne
Great potential, needs 3-5 years. Smoked meat, olive tapenade, and garrique on the nose, firm tannins that grudgingly resolved with some time in the glass, languorous finish.
I have had 2 bottles of the 09 Cantenac Brown in the last month and both were singing (with a 2 hour decant). Both bottles outperformed the more expensive 09 Duhart-Milon and 09 Beau-Sejour Becot.
