  • 2006 Bjornstad Chardonnay Barbed Oak Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Bennett Valley (10/10/2009)
    13.8% alcohol. Honeyed yellow color. Intriguing nose of apple pie, lemon curd, and a floral note. In the mouth, continues that custard-like feel, with an oily texture and beautiful citrus-laced apple, pear, and fig fruit. Almost a touch of sweetness to the spice, like a cinnamon-like red wine note to it. Good acidity. Strong finish. A-

I love this wine as well. Although all of the Bjornstad chards are outstanding, the Barbed Oak proved to be my fav of the vintage. You are going through a lot of wine these days, are you drinking at work?

Yeah, Steve, Greg has a really beautiful hand with Chard. I’m so impressed with the quality of these wines. My goal is to drink one bottle per billable hour :slight_smile:
