TNs: 2011s by Domaine Brana and Yvon Metras

2011 Domaine Brana Irouleguy Rouge
Sniffed wet leaves and mushrooms. Hit all the good the spots with every sip with ripe but tangy blackberries and some green pepper notes that all ends in a tasty lingering finish. Continuing the trend of Southwestern French wines being very pleasurable for me these days. B+

2011 Yvon Metras Fleurie Vieilles Vignes
From the master of the whole cluster.
The bottle was stood up for a week and poured wine was very clear and fresh-looking strawberry red. Flowers and market-fresh meat on the bouquet. At 12.5 Abv, crunchy ripe red berries with tea and gentle earthiness. A touch of tannic bite. Bursts of red fruit tartness and plenty of lip-smacking minerailty with some ground pepper at the finish. Length that makes you go :open_mouth:! Am not a big gamay-drinker, but this is very good. A-
