2007 Siduri Pinot Noir Russian River Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (10/13/2009)
14.3% alcohol. This has begun to smooth out already. Dark cherry color. Some funk on the nose, which blows off with just a few minutes of swirling. It opens up showing a beautiful, plush expression of RRV fruit: black cherry, blackberry, earth, funk, and minerals. In the mouth, a delight for its velvety mouth feel and excellent balance. Pure black cherry fruit is complemented by expressive, complex earthy notes. Bright acidity and a long finish, which shows the barest hint of oak. This may be my favorite of the Siduri appellations in 2007. It feels like the most complete wine at this stage. A- -
2007 Siduri Pinot Noir Sonoma County - USA, California, Sonoma County (10/11/2009)
14.1% alcohol. This bottle came across a bit more simplistic than previous ones. Nice black cherry fruit with some spice, but in the mouth it seemed to be a little disjointed. Must be an in awkward place in this bottle. Still tasty as heck but just not quite to the level of past bottles. B+ -
2007 Siduri Pinot Noir Willamette Valley - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (10/11/2009)
14.1% alcohol Just drinking so beautifully right now. Excellent nose of cherry pie, spice, and minerals. In the mouth, racy and linear, with terrific red and black cherry fruit, spice, earth, and acidity. Solid finish. A- -
2007 Siduri Pinot Noir Santa Rita Hills - Sta. Rita Hills - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Rita Hills - Sta. Rita Hills (10/10/2009)
14.1% alcohol. Like 2005 and 2006, this is right there among my favorite Siduri appellation wines. It’s just such a pretty expression, with its dark cherry and blackberry fruit, with a hint of raspberry, and spicy earth notes. In the mouth, lively and delicious, with fruit up front all the way and a plush mouth feel. Excellent acidity and strong finish. Delightful. A-

2007 Siduri Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands (10/6/2009)
14.1% alcohol. Another pretty appellation effort from Siduri. Black cherry color. Nice nose of black cherry, blackberry, spice, earth, and a soft kiss of oak. In the mouth, pretty blackberry-centered fruit. Lively structure with good acidity. Solid finish. This is just a great expression of the region. A-
