A South African wine that comes highly recommended. Never heard of it and the CT notes I have found are from people I do not know. Has anyone tasted it? Any thoughts?
Reputed to be one of the better/best SA wines. I’ve had it a couple of times, as we had a South African couple in our wine group for a number of years, before they went back home. I think you would like it, it’s a larger scale wine, plenty of fruit, probably oak, in a style that someone who likes California Cabs would enjoy.

Yup. A Jay Hack wine for sure.
It’s an impressive wine, brighter than lots of Cali cabs, though just as sweet and dense with fairly obvious Cab Franc/ Petit Verdot influence, well judged oak, a rather intense yet lively wine. I think it can be terrific at the right times. A good wine to surprise those with more Napa centric palates, so very similar, yet distinctly different.
Ages very well. Had a 2005 not that long ago that showed very well.
