I’m curious as to whether or not those who typically buy this wine are doing so with the 09 vintage, or are waiting for the 2010 to arrive. Thanks.
I’m in for a couple. Not afraid of '09, yet not buying in much quantity either, though everything I hear seems to be positive/early drinking.
It’s a nice wine, though very 2009 with its forward fruit, supple style, and relatively plump nature. It lacks the detail of 2008 or 2010. I bought a few but less than half of what I bought from these two other vintages. I expect it will loose some of its baby fat over the coming years but I expect it will always remains a bit simpler and structurally less tense than the best vintages.
