If you received an email from me pre-release but have not received your mailer yet, hit me up at dan@outpstwines.com. I’m in Mexico right now, but I’ll be back Monday afternoon. I’ll probably have to wade through hundreds of emails when I get back, but I’ll get back to you asap.
I received the e-mail and the snail mailer. Anyone is welcome to my allocation. My Outpost budget went toward a new refrigerator and a kitchen floor. Just let me know.
I emailed Dan (dan@outpostwines.com) on Monday asking about the release offer. I provided my mailing address, email and I received the release offer in the mail yesterday.
One caveat, he had sent me an email earlier in the year (1/8) requesting the same information. So I don’t know whether my name fell through the cracks or they are sending out release offers in tiers.
It wouldn’t hurt to email and ask. Case production for all of their wines is miniscule.
$10 a bottle kind of makes it a no brainer on where to source some…
In times like these, I wonder if wineries will honor that price directly? They would stand to make more coin vs. what I am sure the wholesale price is.
I received my mailer on Monday and just ordered 12 bottles of “True” Cabernet. With only 300 cases produced and the 98 score I think that it will sell out quickly.
I love the stuff, but there lies the problem…
With the '07s right on the front step, this is a tough buy, even at $58.
Got the '05s from a fellow board member…ok… it was Steve Eisenhauer, for like $54.
I Second/Third this feedback. I too can’t get arrested with their 2005 True Vineyards Cab, as amazing an offering (and price) I have put it at, even though the wine really is a Tour de Force of Phenolics.
Just want to give everyone a heads up we’ll be shutting off orders on the 07 True very soon. If you haven’t put your order in already, the sooner the better if you would like to receive any of the 07 True.
Just received an email from Dan stating that the 2007s were sold out and that my order had been reduced to 3 bottles each of the cabs. They are trying to accomodate everyone who requested the wines. I don’t have a problem with a reduced allocation. More money for other wines. I am confident they will produce great wines in the vintages to come.
