Just found one bottle of this that I forgot I had. Thoughts, is it time to try this or just hold off for a few more years?
Thanks!

While I don’t have experience with the '01 Roussanne VV bottling specifically, I tasted at the Chateau just last week. While walking past a huge stack of the '08 bottling, I was told the following:
“This wine should be consumed within the first 5 years, then it goes to sleep for 10. That 2008 will be released around 2023.”
So I would say based on their guidance, it might be just getting ready to awake from slumber. The '09 we tasted at the Chateau was amazing. I can only imagine it with 15+ years of age. Hopefully I can keep my hands off mine for that long.

Thanks! I think I will hold off a bit.
Jay - is this your only bottle?
I would go for it. This shouldn’t be as asleep as some Hermitage blancs can be. At 13 years, it should be in a good place. I had the 1998 in 2011 and it was slightly muted but past the completely closed up stage, and was excellent.
