Thanks for the comments about the '11s. I’ve bought the Climens, Doisy Daene (on Neal Martin’s recommendation) and the Coutet (I hope it’s ok). I’ve also had the '11 Rieussec, which was very good, but not seemingly at the high level of the '01 Rieussec.

Last night I had a Climens '07, which was glorious, my favourite Sauternes/Barsac of the noughties.

My last taste of 01 Climens was underperforming too, but that’s only because I didn’t have the 3-4 days aeration time that is needed de minimis at this point for the wine, even from halves. I actually think the D’Yquem is showing more at this stage.

Ashish and I shared the 01 Sud in 2012. It’s coming. Another 4 years.

LTB has been magical the 2 times I’ve had it—once from full and once from half.

I have not had even one taste yet of 07 Climens. Grrr! :slight_smile:
