TN: when Chardonnay bores the hell out of you

If this 2012 Saint-Véran is indicative of most Mâconnais wines from the vintage, count me out. The wine is lacking in character, depth, and focus, and the fruit is devoid of both crispness and clarity. In stark contrast, I thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of their 2014 Mâcon-Fuissé last month (why I bought the wine). I got through a glass before I decided I wasn’t going to drink the rest of the bottle. Anyone have any Saint-Véran wines that they enjoyed recently? This one just didn’t cut it. 85 pts.
