A wow! wine from the Saar. Beautiful, harmonious aromas of white peach, yellow apple, liquid rock and wildflowers.
Then it’s even better in the mouth. Where many young wines are distinctive for how immediately noticeable its sub-components are, this is noticeable for how smoothly and blithely the whole wine hums along, from start to finish. It makes me feel like I have vinous ADD - fruit flavors flash by, and then I’m distracted by the minerality, and then the sweetness launches the finish, and the acidity keep everything blindingly bright and fresh. Yet I somehow get the whole.
Pretty damn good!
